Antrim Goalkeeper Chris O’Connell has said that he and his team mates want to make sure that they can maintain the Saffron’s dominance of the competition.
Derry qualified for the final with a comprehensive win over Down in last weekend’s replay. While Antrim haven’t played since they were knocked out of the All-Ireland series by Offaly.
“It’s a senior inter-county game and it’s a final regardless of what people might think of the Ulster Championship.
“A lot of the players want to play in it and we want to make sure we can retain that trophy.
“I’m not speaking for anyone else, but I certainly enjoy playing in the Ulster Championship and I’ll be trying to prepare as best as possible for that.”
