Armagh to announce sponsor

DESPITE strong speculation to the contrary, Gaelic Life understands T-Met will not be the sponsor adorning the new Armagh senior jersey for the 2013 season.
A number of companies are believed to be working with the Orchard county board for various reasons, T-Met included, but the main shirt sponsorship remains a closely guarded secret.
An announcement will be made tonight regarding a number of issues for Armagh football in terms of sponsorship, while the county’s new jersey will also be unveiled.
The event will be streamed live on the county’s website (www.armaghgaa.net) from 8pm.
Morgan were the current team jersey sponsor, but that long association deal will now end – although the company continues to hold the rights to the Athletic Ground’s naming rights until 2015.
The official Armagh pre-season training panel was also released by the county this week with no back-up to goalkeeper Philip McEvoy named.
Middletown’s Niall Geoghegan, however, will be conducting his own pre-season in England before travelling across the Irish sea for training and matches.
Tyrone sponsor
Tyrone, meanwhile, hope to bring a proposed new senior county team sponsor before next Tuesday night’s county committee meeting.
The Red Hands have been on the hunt for a new sponsor since the ending of their previous agreement with Target Express at the end of their 2012 championship campaign, with Tyrone PRO Damian Harvey confirming that a new deal is, “Almost there.”
The announcement set to be made next week as they seek ratification from clubs on the proposed new agreement with an as yet unknown company.
