Armagh’s Laura Brown is one of two Orchard county players to receive All-Star Nominations

Twelve Ladies footballers from Ulster have been nominated for the TG4 O’Neills All-Star awards.

Of the 45 nominees for what will be the 31st annual awards ceremony held at the Citywest Hotel on November 10, nine are from Monaghan, two from Armagh and one from Antrim

The county with the biggest amount of nominations is Cork, with 12.

Monaghan won the National League this year, but lost the Senior Championship semi-final to Cork. However, Armagh and Antrim won the Intermediate and Junior Championships respectively.

LGFA CEO, Helen O’Rourke said: “It has been another great year for ladies football with this fantastic Cork team winning their seventh All Ireland in eight years, Monaghan claimed the League title and Antrim and Armagh brought the Junior and Intermediate titles back to Ulster.

“The nominations reflect the reach of our game with 13 counties represented on the list from all 4 provinces. I would like to congratulate all of the players on their nominations and look forward to seeing them on November 10th.”
