Shiels calls Cats to edge final

Antrim’s Paul Shiels

Antrim star Paul Shiels fancies Kilkenny to edge this weekend’s All-Ireland final:

“It is a tight one to call, but you have to fancy Kilkenny because they were pretty impressive after their semi-final.

“They will be hurting after the Leinster final. So I would have to say that Kilkenny will win. It is going to be a very physical, and very intense, particularly at the start of the first half. Galway would have had their homework done for the Leinster final, but Kilkenny will be up for it this time.

“I don’t think they will win by a big margin, it will be a tight game and I think that Kilkenny will probably edge it, as they don’t lose to the same team twice.”
VERDICT: Kilkenny
