JOB done. From the ridicule of last year’s semi-final, when Jim McGuinness’s defensive mindset was dissected and destroyed, the men from Tir Chonaill have reached the promised land.

Twenty years after their first and only success, the men in green and gold ascended the Hogan Stand steps to life the game’s best known prize. When Michael Murphy raised the Sam Maguire aloft, many a tear fell from Donegal eyes. They’ve waited a long time for this, and they’ll enjoy the celebrations.
