Keenan fancies Clonoe and Fianna

Coaching development officer Roger Keenan

Roger Keenan gave us his take on the favourites for this year’s Championship:

“You’d have bother looking past the normal four, Coalisland, Clonoe, Dromore and a number of contenders for that fourth spot.

“Carrickmore, maybe Omagh and a number of others would be in there. Carrickmore weren’t particularly impressive in the first game [against Trillick], but they won’t mind about that, they’ve got over the first round and they’ll get stronger from here on in.

“But you’d have to say on based on league form, consistency wise and scoring forwards Clonoe and Coalisland would look like the most likely contenders.

“Dromore came through this league at a stroll because the league means nothing to them and are still there or there-abouts. They have been case-hardened by three or four championship runs in succession.”
