Mickey Harte eager for Ulster win

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte

Mickey Harte has named the side which he hopes can deliver a victory against Armagh on Sunday.

Harte also told Gaelic Life this week that the Ulster Championship remains the competition to win:

“People maybe think that we overplay it a bit in Ulster, but we really don’t. Everyone wants to win and everyone believes they can win the Ulster title so that is what makes it so competitive.

“We are not saying that the standard is so much better than anywhere else but there is a bit more of a competitive edge.

“When Armagh meet Tyrone they always want to win. The stakes are always high when the counties meet no matter what the competition and no matter the time of year and that is especially the case in the championship.

“This will be no different. It’s their home ground as well so they will have extra motivation to do well. ”

Tyrone: Pascal McConnell; Aidan McCrory, Justin McMahon, Dermot Carlin; Cathal McCarron, Conor Gormley, Sean O’Neill; Joe McMahon, Colm Cavanagh; Ronan McNabb, Mark Donnelly, Peter Harte; Martin Penrose, Stephen O’Neill, Owen Mulligan
