Monaghan positive despite losses

Monaghan manager Eamonn McEneaney
Eamonn McEneaney says that his team are hungry for the win:
“IT IS going to be a tough game for us because we know the way that Antrim are going to set up.
“They are going to be hard to break down. In the National League, teams didn’t score that much against them, but they scored 11 goals which was the joint highest along with Tyrone.
“So we know it is going to be a very difficult game for us.
“But our lads are up for it, and they are all delighted that Championship is finally here.
“We would be pretty happy with the preparations. We gave the lads seven or eight days off, and then they came back and showed the sort of commitment that we expect. Other teams might have been half hearted about it [after being relegated], but they have knuckled down.
“I am not happy about the injuries that we have picked up. I am disappointed about that. I am not happy that we have lost our captain, Darren Hughes. And Tommy Freeman and Eoin Lennon are very doubtful.”
