CAVAN u-21 Captain Barry Reilly revealed his disappointment this week at missing out on playing in Saturday’s All-Ireland semi-final against Roscommon.
Reilly pulled a hamstring in Cavan’s Ulster u-21 championship quarter-final against Armagh, almost a month ago.
He was told afterwards that it would take eight weeks to heal, then three, and then before their Ulster final against Tyrone he was given the go ahead to play.
“I was carrying an injury into the game. But it felt fine during the warm up. I thought it was going to be okay,” Reilly said.
“But then I pulled the hamstring again in the match. That means I am out. It is very disappointing and it will be hard to watch, but all I can do is wish the boys the best.”
