Ladies football plan for the future

The committee who are behind the new Ulster Ladies Strategic Plan
THE ROAD MAP for the development of ladies football in the province over the next five years has been laid out in the recently-launched Ulster LGFA Strategic Plan.
The comprehensive document, under the title ‘From Small Steps To Great Strides,’ outlines how the Ladies Association in Ulster will carry out its work over the next five years, going into great detail on the projects and areas which will be worked on between now and 2017.
The driving force in putting the strategic document is the Ulster GAA’s Ladies Football Development Officer Sheena Kelly, and she is firm in her belief that the new plan will deliver at all levels in the province.
“Our previous plan ran from 2007 until 2010, and the work began on this one in October last year. We had an open forum, which brought together people from all levels and all aspects of our game.
“There were also questionnaires sent out to administrators, players, coaches, referees, parents, and everyone who we felt had an interest in the game.
“So we gathered a wide range of opinions from all sectors, and gave them the opportunity to comment on our draft copy before we had our official launch in March.”
