Cavanagh predicts 'tough' clash

Tyrone's Colm Cavanagh
Tyrone v Monaghan
Sunday, Healy Park, 2.30pm
WHATEVER you do, don’t suggest to a Tyrone player that this weekend’s clash with Monaghan is little more than a dead rubber game for the Red Hands.
Promotion and a place in the league final have long since been secured, but Tyrone remain fully intent on preserving their impressive 2012 so far. According to midfielder Colm Cavanagh, no quarter will be given at Healy Park when the Ulster rivals meet once again.
“Every time Tyrone play Monaghan is it always a tough game. There is usually an edge to it and the weekend will be no different with it being the last game of the league,” Cavanagh said.
“We’ll want the victory to preserve our 100 percent record and go into the final in fine fettle while Monaghan need the points for different reasons at the other end. Both sides will be taking it very seriously.”
