Donaghy issues rallying cry

Brendan Donaghy in action during Armagh's last game against Dublin, last year in the National League

BRENDAN Donaghy has issued a rallying cry to Armagh fans to get behind him and his team mates this weekend as they attempt to bounce back from their loss to Mayo, by beating the All-Ireland champions Dublin.

The Orchard county have not recorded victory against Dublin in a competitive match since 2008, having suffered defeats in 2010 and 2011.

Saturday night’s Croke Park venue is regarded as an asset to Dublin because they will have a large and vocal support, but Donaghy doesn’t see it that way.

“There is an intensity about these games. They are always a good games to be part of, because there are so many fans from Dublin, and Armagh, there.”
