Crossmaglen out to make up for mistakes
BOTH Crossmaglen and Garrycastle will have replayed the DVD of their drawn All-Ireland final to the point of destruction over the past fortnight, searching for those tiny little factors which could be the difference between winning and losing this weekend.
From a Crossmaglen perspective, they will have quickly seen that despite the many hours invested on the training field, their passing from half-back line and midfield let them down badly.
Time after time they gifted possession to Garrycastle when the hard work had seemingly been done in securing possession in the first place.
There were very few in amber and black who weren’t culpable, and it meant that the Westmeath outfit were able to exert more pressure on a Cross rearguard which was looking uncharacteristically shaky in the opening half.
